Tampersloth ("the Extension") is a browser extension that enables AI-assisted webpage automation and modification. This Privacy Policy describes how the Extension collects, uses, and shares your data.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Data You Provide
- API Keys — You may enter API keys for third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, xAI). These keys are stored locally in your browser and are never sent to any server operated by Tampersloth.
- Chat Messages — Messages you type in the Extension's sidebar are stored locally and sent to the AI provider you have selected.
- User-Created Scripts — JavaScript scripts you create or generate through the Extension are stored locally.
1.2 Data Accessed on Web Pages
When you actively use the Extension's tools (e.g., by sending a message that triggers a tool), the Extension may access the following data from the active web page:
- Page Content — HTML structure, text content, and element details.
- Page Storage — localStorage and sessionStorage contents for the current domain.
- Cookies — Cookies associated with the current domain, including httpOnly cookies.
- Console Logs — Browser console output (logs, warnings, errors) via the Chrome Debugger API.
- Network Activity — URLs, methods, status codes, request/response headers, and bodies of network requests made by the page (fetch, XMLHttpRequest, WebSocket, EventSource, sendBeacon).
- Screenshots — Visual captures of the current tab.
Important: This data is accessed only when you initiate an action that requires it (e.g., asking the AI to inspect or interact with a page). The Extension does not passively monitor or collect browsing data in the background.
1.3 Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect analytics or telemetry data.
- We do not track your browsing history.
- We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location.
